with some of these recipes! Here are
a few of our favorites, tested extensively
by our own companion birds and our
breeder pairs. |

2 Large Sweet Potatoes (Baked or Microwave)
2 Eggs with Shells in Food Processor
Whole Wheat Flour
1 cup Corn Meal
Mash the sweet potato and form into patties,
dip them in a whole wheat flour, coat in the
eggs mixture and then in the corn meal. Coat
a pan with cooking spray and cook over medium
high heat for about 3-4 minutes each side.

2 cups corn meal flour
2 cups whole wheat flour
1 Tbsp baking powder
3 eggs with shell (blend in blender or food
processor)
2 4 oz jars sweet potato baby food
1 whole banana, mashed
1/2 cup red kidney beans (either soaked and
cooked, or canned)
2 cups strained vegetable baby food (4 4oz jars)
4 Tbsp peanut butter
1/2 cup chopped mixed nuts
1/2 cup shredded coconut, unsweetened (optional)
2 4oz jars of diced apple baby food
Mix and put into small muffin pan. Bake at
350 degrees for 30 to 45
minutes. (Our birds stand on their heads for
this recipe!!)

4 cups pellets - crushed in blender
1/2 cup Quaker multigrain cereal
1/4 cup powdered milk
2 Tsp. baking powder
1 tsp cinimmon
1/4 cup honey
1 stick soy magerine
1 small apple, diced
1 cup fresh raspberries, frozen
2 eggs with shell (mix in blender or food processor)
1/2 cup orange juice with calcium
1/2 cup unsalted peanut halfs
Mix all dry ingredients together. Cream margerine,
honey and eggs. Mix together with dry ingredients.
Dice apple and raspberries. Roll into balls
and flatten slightly. Place peanuts into each
cookie. Bake at 350 dgrees for 20 minutes.

4 cups crushed pellets
2 cups orange juice with calcium
6 eggs with shells (mix in blender or food processor)
1 cup chopped almonds
1 cup banana chips
1 small can crushed pineapple
1/2 cup dried figs, chopped
6 Tbsp baking powder
Add juice and pellets and baking powder. Beat
eggs and add to pellets. Sir in remaining ingredients.
Bake in a 9X13" pan at 325 degrees for
1 and 1/2 hours.

| Fruit Heavenly
Rice Pudding |
1 cup rice (preferably brown)
1 1/2 cups fresh corn
1/2 cup dried banana (or mango or papaya)
31/2 Tbsp split lentils (or peas)
21/2 Tbsp golden raisins
21/2 Tbsp. natual, unsalted pistachio nuts
1 Tsp dried powdered milk
1/4 Tsp allspice and nutmeg
Add all contents to a quart of cold water.
Bring water to a boil, then lower the heat.
Cover and simmer 30 minutes. Serve warm (not
hot). Can also be served cool. Yields 2 pounds
or 1 1/2 quarts.
